At Formality, we think it's really important that brides have a boutique experience like the one you see on that special show.
When you book an appointment, you can bring three guests for a traditional bridal gown appointment or up to 8 guests for a VIB deluxe appointment. Once you make your gown selections, it's off to beautiful dressing room to try on beautiful gowns.
Then its out to show your group what you look like in each of your beautiful selections.
Don't worry if it doesn't fit you perfectly just yet... that's totally normal. We can usually perform fittings in house so that your complete bridal experience is with us. No need to go out searching for someone that you trust to make alterations to your precious gown!

Q: Where do you get your gowns?
We get our gowns from all sorts of places, but primarily from boutiques as samples. We have great relationships with boutiques around the country, which allows us to offer a wide selection of beautiful gowns that you might not get to see in our area.
Q: Do you buy gowns from brides?
From time to time we will purchase gowns from a bride after it has been worn. If you'd like us to consider yours, feel free to send us a pic along with pertinent info, like size, alterations, and how much you'd like for it. You can send it to email@example.com or text it to (440)251-0571.

Q: Can I hold a gown?
We don't offer holds, as our gowns are priced hundreds, sometimes thousands, less than those other boutiques. We price them to sell quickly. We do offer a 30 day layaway policy if your budget is extra tight right now.
Q: Do you clean the gowns that you sell?
The gowns that come to us as samples are new, and have not been cleaned. You may decide to clean them prior to your trip down the aisle if you choose. If the gown was from a former bride, the gown has been cleaned prior to going into our inventory.
Having a big sale, on-site celebrity, or other event? Be sure to announce it so everybody knows and gets excited about it.
Q: Are appointments required?
Yes, we require appointments to ensure that we have a dressing room reserved for you and that we are available to provide a wonderful experience and that YOU are our sole focus. For the optimal bridal experience, we do not accept walk ins.
Q: How many guests can I bring with me to my appointment?
We are currently permitting three guests for a traditional 90 minute appointment and 8 guests for a VIB appointment. If you want to include others, we encourage FaceTime or a similar technology once you've narrowed down your selection to allow them to be a part of your big "Saying YES" moment.
Q: Can I bring my child in with me to my appointment?
Yes, but we don't recommend it as it can be distracting to brides and difficult for little ones to be in a bridal store for 90 minutes or more. But we do understand that sometimes it simply can't be helped.

Q: How long is a bridal appointment?
Standard Bridal appointments are 90 minutes long. A VIB appointment is 2 hours long.
Q: Is my deposit refunded if I don't find a gown?
Deposits are non-refundable and are applied to a gown selection made on the day of your appointment only. We are one of the few boutiques that lists their inventory on our website, so you can view our selection to decide whether you want to make an appointment (and you know you do!) Even if you don't purchase a gown, you will still leave with a robust understanding of what looks and feels good on you and with the memory of a wonderful private bridal shopping experience for you and your guests.
Q: Is Formality reSale handicap accessible?
We offer a wheelchair lift to allow walkers and wheelchairs into the main part of our store, but the VIB area is not accessible via wheelchairs.
Q: What are your current Covid guidelines?
We are limiting occupancy to the bride plus three guests for a traditional appointment, and up to 8 guests for VIB appointments. We suggest that all non vaccinated guests wear masks. All gowns will be sanitized using either steam or a disinfectant antibacterial spray prior to returning to our inventory.Fitting rooms will be sanitized between brides.
Q: Do you offer alterations services?
We offer alteration services on bridal gowns purchased from Formality. You can schedule your own appointment for your fitting on our website, We generally recommend at least four months prior to your big day. Appointments made closer to your big day may run the risk of being turned away if we can't fit you in, or experiencing a "Rush" fee from our seamstress. We can tell you more about our alterations at your bridal appointment.
Q: Do you offer alterations for gowns not purchased at Formality?
Not at this time.
Q: How much are your alteration charges?
We get asked this frequently, and there isn't a generic answer. Typically, the more detail on your bridal gown, the more you should budget for alterations. (But hey, think of all that money you already saved on that gorgeous gown you got from Formality!)
